Functional characteristics

  • Study of pulmonary dynamics and physiology, especially using hyperpolarized fluorinated and noble gases
  • Cardiology applications: complete elimination of respiratory motion artifact
  • Certain neurological studies, especially MRI: allow precise monitoring of the animal's oxygenation
